ED decision thread

I’m in too! Got the letter earlier today (I’m in state), and I’ll post my stats on the other thread later tonight or tomorrow.

Congratulations Blackroses! I hope to see you at Harvey Mudd next year.

for sure! : ) CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU TOO!!

Turns out it’s the phyllosilicate mineral clinochlore. I think it’s a mineral found in the region, so I bet it’s from the mud of Mudd. [Clinochlore Mineral Data](<a href=“A to Z List”>Clinochlore Mineral Data)

And once again, no letter in the Midwest.

In the wiki entry for clinochlor it notes: “The great range in composition results in considerable variation in physical, optical, and X-ray properties.”

Out of mud rock, it is very diverse, sparkly, special, and hard to find. Just like the Mudd students.

When my son got the folder two years ago I thought it was very cool that the admissions packet had both a great compliment and a research project all in one.

And Blackroses: Congratulations!!!. I kept checking back to see if you got in. I am so glad that you did. Welcome to the Mudd community! It shows they are looking for the right fit and talent, not a SAT II score!

Congratulations to all of you who made it! Good luck to the rest - there are hundreds of other wonderful colleges out there and you’re all smart enough to do very well.
