From now on anyone that calls the admissions office needs to post exactly what they were told. I think they're responses may depend on how we word or freaking questions!

Me: So when will the Early Decision applicants receive a response?
The dude: It will take two weeks. Probably more.
Me: Oh, so there is no definite day when we should be expecting an e-mail or mail from CU?
The dude: No.
Me: ohhh ok. Thank you
The dude: Have a great day "sir" (lol)

I just walked by the Admissions office; it is now close to 7 pm Eastern Time, and the office is still completely lit and no one appears to have left. Looks like they are doing the best they can.

lol..wHATT??? u live nearby or u study at columbia? wow....is it that accessible that u cud peep through the windows and see?...lol...well i can understand them bein at work coz its friday and they have to get some stuff done!

lol arsalan, i'm a freshman at Columbia College. The admissions office is on the first floor of Hamilton Hall, very visible at night with its large windows and well-lit interior.

I think that we all need to take a deep breathe, enjoy the holidays and family, and be grateful that we have a chance to attend a not only a university like Columbia, but a university at all. A lot of people cannot say that. Also, they are doing the best they can, and we should try and be understanding.

Well, if it comes on the 15th, it can really screw me over because of the Swat supplement (I want to apply Winter ED to Swat but have to wait until the CC decision comes in). Wow. That sucks a lot.
