Does anyone know when BU is releasing ED decisions. They’ve said we’ll know by Dec. 15, but are e-mails going out on the 10th?

No idea, but I called up yesterday when I realized I had a small error on my application and they said that it wouldn't affect anything now. Translation: I think they may have already made a decision.

I have no idea when they start the email notification.

ahh im so scared I wont get in! i applied ED as well im stresin out major time! hey i didnt know they e-mail on teh 10th do you think its a good idea if my guidance conselor calls tomorrow? i hope i get in please god let me in please please please

actually im applying to school of education so if ne1 knows about there stats tell me..i mean i called bu and asked them and SED just said they r just as competeitive as CAS but you never know...

Do they really email this friday, the 10th? Could someone please verify this?

I would also like to know.... this is nerve-wracking as is.

actualy i don't think we are going to get them e-mailed on the 10th because I just checked my application status and it said that they would mail it by the 15th and nothing about e-mailing it.

I e-mailed admissions about notification. They said they would send notification via the applicant link you use to check your status-- no date given. Also, they will send via US mail.

translation: We're looking at Wednesday.

lost in traslation

Well, right now I can't even log into the applicant link, so perhaps it's updating.... or it's weekly maintenance.

Do you guys think BU will send emails out the day they mail the letters? Or have you guys heard (from other people who have applied ED in the past) when they found out of their results? gah, this is stressful.

I'm not going to say that an email will be coming on wednesday. Check the ApplicantLink... they said that that will definitely be updated with info on wednesday..... so if I haven't heard anything I'll be staying home from school on wednesday due to the "Must know my results" virus. : P

Go In!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was checking the link for S all morning...he said to check at 9 and 1 (we're in CA) and I checked just before noon, and it said "View Your Admission Decision"! Yes! Just got back from tieing red and white balloons to his car in the HS parking lot.

I wish you all the best of luck with early decision!

I hope that none of you all are looking to apply for financial aid for need-based aid. I say this because it is a gamble for early decision students. In the Office of Financial Assistance at BU, we strongly advise that if you want a sufficient award, then you should NOT apply early decision. Anyway, I still wish you all the best of luck!

Umm...early decision letters have already been sent out, you're a little late with your warning, Brandon.

oops...well, i'll try and be earlier...lol....i guess my decision to post this wasn't early enuff....haha...bad joke...but oh well...congrats to all that were accepted. Welcome to the BU family.

As much as I'd love to attend BU, I can't decide if it's worth it if I'll have to borrow about $17K/year to attend (that would put me $68K in student debt by the time I graduate!) How many of you are borrowing money in order to afford this school?

Overall I think Im getting 15,000 in loans and grants. I haven't looked up any scholarships yet, anyone know the best way to search for them? My parents are paying for the vast majority of it, and then after graduation I'll repay some of it to them.

I was admitted ED- COM. Received financial aid decision yesterday--No financial aid--anyone else in the same boat? I applied to 7 other schools (RD) - Syracuse, Fordham, NYU, Marist, Northeastern, Ithaca, Geneseo. I really want to and intend to go to BU, but I am worried about $. I am an only child and my parents both work full-time. They make about 130,000 together. They have both worked hard and saved money for my education, but $40,000 is alot!!!!
I attend a very competitive suburban HS with a class of 700. GPA is 92 uw (school does not weight rank or GPA) with all honor or AP courses--sat1-720V/620M-sat11writing-710. Have any of your withdrawn your other applications yet?
