ED Deferral - International FA

Hey guys, I have a question about my chances in the RD round. I don't know if my case is unique, but I'm a Canadian (Asian) living in Michigan (been living here for close to 6 years) and I requested quite a lot of financial aid from Columbia (family income is less than $70000). My stats/ECs are typical of most Columbia applicants, so they're nothing mind-blowingly extraordinary. If I did get deferred due mainly to financial aid, then what are my chances at being accepted into Columbia during spring?

they changed their policy from needblind to canadians to need aware for a reason.

If you live in the US as a permanent resident, then it’s need blind.

However, I am not sure if you’d be international applicant since you live in the US.

Did you make it clear you are a permanent resident?

^I’m actually here on a work visa, not a green card, so that would be a no on permanent residency.
