<p>My daughter's letter from Boston College said that they wanted to see her semester grades. Do ed deferral letters say different things as to what the college wants from the applicant?</p>
<p>My D applied EA to BC and was deferred. I don't recall the letter mentioning anything other than the usual "sorry - we'll reconsider you with the regular applicants". All her grades are A's, however, so that may be why they didn't say anything about needing to see her next grades. When did your daughter get this letter?</p>
<p>I can tell you that my BC letter said the same thing. I think it was standardized.</p>
<p>Basically "Oh, you're not good enough to get in EA, sorry. We'll look over you file again in the spring. Don't forget to send us your midyears because you better NOT slack off. Bye!"</p>
