Sleep-what a joke! I will never be able to sleep tonight knowing that tomorrow I will know the fate of the four years that lie ahead of me.

i’m so nervous. i’m not going to be able to sleep tonight!

and thanks acf! I appreciate it, although it is unfortunate that you are not Furda!

thanks for your input brainiac, but just so you know (in the miraculous event that we all get in tomorrow and meet on penn’s campus) I am a dramatic person in general, so the drama needed to be stressed in my letter.

haha are you one of those girly girls who screams at the sight of a mouse?

actually, I am terrified of mice. This is strange that you said this, because at the sight of anything that even resembles a mouse or rat (including hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.) I literally hypervenilate and scream and I would seriously have everyone evacuated from the dorm at Penn and have them spray whatever repells them and buy two cats if I ever saw one.

I liked your letters too! good luck guys…

Mine was a bit different. i started off with saying that now i was fortunate to wait 111 days (yes…i counted) for my decision and how this was a blessing in disguise. i talked about my obsession with youtube and how i somehow landed on penn’s channel and watched so many videos from the point i got deferred till now and how that really helped me realize my love for penn and everything about it. I sent them a video about me at the end of the letter…who knows if they took it into consideration or not!

haha oh gosh upenngirl. everyone would love that.

hardworker - i like the video idea. very unique.

wow hardworker, the video at the end was so unique and definitely stood out! and clearly related to your new found love of penn through videos, I think that was a great idea!!

(somewhat like the Tufts youtube video supplement!)

i didn’t get into Tufts hahaha

I like the video idea too. And yes I think I would provide entertainment to my dorm friends, and therefore that should be enough of a reason to accept me! lol

17 hours …

omg seriously there is only around a 10% chance for us (I applied to Wharton, so it’s probably less) so it is hard to be optimistic right now!

thanks guys! yup I got this whole idea from the tufts app lol except i didn’t get into tufts either oh well…

I dont believe that wharton will be much more selective for deferees as all the strong-business minded students already applied ED.

I hope you are right poste3! If I don’t get in, there’s always Stern, but, of course, Wharton is my ultimate DREAM!

sorry to hear the news about Tufts acf/hardworker. I am sure you have many other great choices, and still need to hear from one (or a few) more.

I have three schools left for tomorrow. It is going to be a ROUGH day. The waiting is going to be so painful.

you do have a point. my whole opinion on this thing is that if you get thousands and thousands of applications each year but only around 1,000 for ED, why wouldn’t you accept more people? it’s the ED people who WANT to go, it’s binding so obviously they want to go. and then it’s the ED people who write letters. unless they’re straight D applicants with no serious EC’s i don’t understand why you would defer the students who are TRULY dedicated… not using penn as a back up to harvard or something.

okay i suppose it’s more than 1,000 but you get my point.

I completely agree. And plus, through deferral they can weed out the people who don’t care as much and just give up, since they don’t send letters and keep trying, they move onto another school and are bitter. I, however, still love penn!
