Just to see how strong the ED pool for Princeton really is... i'm just wondering, how many people here have been accepted to other schools or received likely letters from other schools after being deferred by Princeton? (This is kind of similar to the one on the Yale board.)

I personally received a likely from Dartmouth, was rejected by MIT, and am still waiting for Princeton :), Yale, Penn, Harvard, Cornell, JHU, and Columbia.

Anyone else? Just to see how strong the princeton ED pool is compared to other school's RD pool....

I received a likely from Dartmouth and an early acceptance from Bowdoin.

most of them all received likelies =P

not really..
two friends have been waitlisted at Dartmouth and at Princeton and Harvard at the same time.

Princetonwannabe,
I am in pretty much the same situation. I got a likely from Dartmouth, scholarship from NYU, was rejected by MIT, and now I am waiting to hear from all the schools that you applied to, what a coincidence! :)

did you apply to princeton ed ;)

it would even be better if you were international.. then we're totally in the same boat..

no likelies :o
and rejected by MIT.
I'm the worst candidate :D rapelye will have quite a laugh reading my app.

aww merc.. you're so not.. just your welcoming and optimistic personality sets you apart from many applicants already.. and seriously, SAT scores really do not matter that much... the 2's are way more important than the 1's anyway.

Likely then admitted to UVa with Echols.
Waiting on Princeton, Yale, Brown, Columbia, Georgetown...
and ok, Tufts, but I'm not really waiting on it since I know I won't go now.

There is light amid the darkness. In december, I was deferred by Princeton and was depressed by it. However, in the past month, I have received likelies from Yale, Dartmouth and accepted at MIT. My attitude now is Princeton can stuff it. I am going to Yale and quite happy about it. The moral of the story is do not give up hope. College admissions is too arbitrary for giving up.

spounge--mind sending a little note to princeton saying you don't like them anymore so that we deferred kids who still like it can go? :)

lol seriously, you're a threat to us spoungemop >.<
but hey, I'd choose Yale too.

I guess I wasn't that depressed about Princeton. Ok I was bitter for a few days, but overall I've been pretty good. So maybe I didn't like it that much shrug I just know that I wouldn't have been nearly as obsessed were it not for the lovely CC group hugg

I would love to withdraw if they would give me my money back. I wish all of you the best in a couple of weeks. I am just glad this process is over. I am sure that you guys/gals will feel the same way. Time to get on with the rest of our lives.

Why do all of you people who applied ED to princeton seem to like Yale better ?????

how many likelies does yale send out each year? wow..spoungemop, that's quite an accomplishment...

I don't know enco >.<
Originally I had liked Yale for a while but then I visited and fell in love with Princeton. I like both of them...I guess I would have applied early to yale but my gc wouldn't let me. I don't regret the pton app though, I love my pton family! heart enco

Zante, why wouldn't your gc let you? That's so bizarre...

My gc kind of discouraged me from applying to princeton and definitely discouraged me from applying to BC, saying it was a party school for people who score 1600 on the SAT. BC reps came to our school, and she invited like 10 people to it but not me. It was strange.

Haha I had to explain to my counselor what deferred meant...and she's actually the best one at my school
