I wish I were rich enough to pay for UIUC/Purdue/UT Austin!!:stuck_out_tongue: I didn’t apply at any of those publics.

Coming to the point, MIT rejected me!!!

Hi,
I am dada from Bangladesh. I was hopeful that antares, anunay and quiverfox will be selected in MIT as they are awsome candidates. Any news about them? I earnestly hope that they are selected.

Ya I too have been looking for them. Hopefully they show up sometime in the evening

the two time IMO participant Honourable mention and Gold Medalist got selected - Prafulla Dhariwal …truly a genius he is! :D

^Is it?? Wow!! How do you know that?

I also came to know through the comments on the Admitted blog post that someone named Amol Bhave got in.

The four Indian admits, as of now, are Prafulla Dhariwal, Mrudul Thatte, Amartya Sankha and Amol Bhave.

3 medallists in International Olympiads. And the fourth one created his own MOOC.
Wow.

Everyone knew that Prafulla was applying and he confirmed his acceptance on FB this morning, but it’s nice to see that Mrudul got in too. Two IMO medalists!
I also note that this is the third successive years in which some olympiad medalist from Bengal was selected: Akashnil Dutta- IMO and IOI in 2011, Diptarka Hait- IChO and APhO in 2012, Amartya Sankha Biswas- IOI in 2013.
Many shortlisted candidates as well, from India… Already heard of two.

I’ve been waitlisted at MIT and Caltech. Hoping for the best, though chances are very very slim.

Got into UC davis. Wondering whether it is easy to get into or not???

Congrats to everyone who’s been admitted/waitlisted at MIT and Caltech! And @rajnikant- I was of the opinion all UCs are hard to get into. o.o So congratulations!

@firefliesdance, did you get into uchicago?

Friend of mine from school made it to UChicago.

All the uc’s other then UCB, SD AND LA are super easy to get into.

@firefliesdance Congrats for your Cornell likely!!!

firefliesdance is THE stuff. =O
