Ed/ea/rd

I have seen many people with good stats (would have been upper 50 % of last year's class) stating that they have been deferred or waitlisted. Elon's average math and verbal SAT have gone up a little (about 8 points out of 1200) over each of the past two years. It is difficult to say whether the current crop of applicants being deferred is due to increasing standards or increasing number of applications to EA. Would those of you who have been deferred say whether you applied ED, EA, or RD? Thank you.

I didn't get deferred this year, but I know it's much easier to get in ED and EA. RD has a much larger pool, no matter how big the ED and EA pools are.

My daughter applied EA - she was deferred and then waitlisted - her SAT's 1260. She was on par with GPA as well.

Last year the mid 50% range of SAT was 1150-1300. They had 1000 more applications this year than last year. Who knows what next year will bring.
This year was a record crop of EA applications as well.
I would not allow her to apply ED because of the financial situation.
