ED/EA Results - India

Eagerly waiting for Cornell ED results. Will be displayed at 3:30 AM (IST) on Dec 17. Princeton's results would be out at 1:30 AM, I suppose. Post your results and stats as soon as you get your results.

Deferred in Princeton SCEA. I will post the stats later. Who else got accepted/deferred/rejected ?

Deferred - Cornell COE.
@nikrules - my friend is also deferred - Princeton. When will your final result be declared? He said it would be declared in mid feb. and quite frankly it sounds a bit fishy.

Same pinch lol
U know out of 3800 something applicants they deferred 3000 applicants.!! So almost everybody is DEFERRED :stuck_out_tongue: and as far as i know the final results will be declared along with the regular decision pool in late mach.

Did anyone from India get into Cornell ED?

Hi, I got into Cornell ED in the CALS. What are the admission statistics for this year’s Cornell ED?

denhigs

I wrote you a PM earlier. But since you do not have 15 posts as yet, so maybe you did not recieve it. I am going to paste it here.

First of Congrats on your application being considered. Deferred of course is heartbreakingly annoying, meaning you have to wait longer for a decision, either way.

I think your CR scores are the weakest part of your application.

http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/a...s_profiles.cfm

I quote from Cornell FAQs

"What are the minimum SAT/ACT scores required to be admitted to the College of Engineering as a freshman?

The College of Engineering does not have a minimum SAT, since the standardized test scores are simply one aspect of an applicant’s preparation. However, we do know that*of the admitted students in the class, at least 75% scored between 720-800 on their SAT math and approximately half of the class scored better than 700 on the SAT verbal."

So never can say. I think the best advise i can give you is, emotionally you should move on to other colleges on your list. And if they decide in your favour later on, at least you would then treat it as bonus. So keep it on the side for the time being.

At the same time you could continue with your efforts to impress upon Cornell, if really this is your dream college. If you get great Class 12 grades, send them with a write up on how you have worked hard to show you really belong there. It could be some achievement outside of academics. Something that would help to convince that you are ready for this challenge and journey in your life and willing to do whatever it takes.

Thank you anialways. I am working on my other applications. Applying to 10 more colleges.
I am quite confident about my ACT. Surely above 33 in all sections. I am also going to write an additional essay explaining why cornell is my first choice institution. Hope that helps, or else - ‘other’ colleges it is.

@Arch18 Can you please post your stats?
It would be really helpful for other aspirants!

Yeah Arch18, use one of these
