Essays/Recs: I expect them to be very good

I think my selling point is that I have upward trending grades, a great deal of life difficulties, and well rounded and highly involved ECs.
What are my chances???

Also .Chance me for UMICHIGAN Early Action???

You’re upward trend in grades is great, so is your writing score. But your cr is a little on the low side for Emory. But with good ecs, good essays and recs you have a pretty good shot. You could probably write a really good personal essay on overcoming your life difficulties. Good luck, hope you get in!

I think you have a pretty good shot, especially if you can convey your hardships well in your essay. You should probably retake the sat again tho just in case, since your highest score by far is not considered by emory

I think you have a legitimate shot if you apply early decision. Emory accepted about half of its early decision applicants last year. So it’s not insanely competitive and I think admissions officers will be able to overlook you SAT scores. Have you considered taking the ACT?

I think definitely a good shot, especially ED. I’d retake the SAT especially if Emory doesn’t consider writing. Try to get CR and M up a bit and write a strong essay and you’ll be a shoo-in.

ED and your chances are looking good.
Make the essay personal, even if you may not want to share the information, its the best only chance you got to explain your situation to the adcom.
I would take either the SATs or ACTs again if you think you can do better with studying.
