ED extended to November 15

In case anyone is interested, Early Decision has been extended to November 15. I presume it has something to do with receiving fewer applications than expected. I wonder if that has happened before or if number of applicants will be down across the board...

My son has chosen not to apply early, even though Syracuse has emerged as his first choice.

Well, that is mighty interesting…no, this has not happened before at SU; it happened at Emory last year though…

thank you for posting…

thanks for posting, now I can be a little less paranoid.

ughh, I would be absolutely elated if I had read this a week ago, when I was rushing to get my application and essays finished. I wonder whast this means though…less competition for newhouse? That would be very nice, I’m a really borderline applicant. Low gpa(3.12 overall with an upward trend, 3.7 my Jr. year and a 3.9 1st quarter this year) but high SATs(2110)

I doubt it means less competition for Newhouse.

^^Probably means nothing for Newhouse, Architecture or even Whitman…means ALOT for art and sciences, human ec, etc…if anyone is applying ED to those…

One can dream that there will be less competition for Newhouse

well, everything is sent in and with the exception of the interview it’s out of my hands so why not be optimistic, eh haha?

update: apparently the suppement was posted later than planned; they wanted to give ED applicants more time to apply
