“Our Early Decision application deadline has been extended to November 7. The extension applies to your application and to materials submitted on your behalf by your school. Please contact us at admission@brown.edu if you need additional time beyond November 7 to complete your Early Decision application.”

Does this apply to everyone or just people affected by the hurricane?

Probably to anyone who got this message, while logging in etc. (my guess it is everyone) but to be safe, if you didn’t get that message, either contact Brown if you need the time, or just be safe (and done) and get it in by the previous deadline.

I didn’t get the e-mail and I already submitted everything (hopefully) for ED. Still haven’t gotten the Brown application website username and password though :(

If Brown is on the East Coast, then it would be affected by Sandy. The admissions staff would not have access to the building until an established date. The deadline is not just for those affected by the storm

Although the ED deadline is extensioned, are we able to submit the common application after Nov. 1st ??? I’m a bit puzzled because on the common app deadline still says Nov.1st. THX!!!

Hi everyone, I’m a reporter with The Brown Daily Herald, Brown’s student newspaper. In light of the ED application being extended because of Sandy, we’re running an article on the extension and are talking to ED applicants who are affected by the storm. If this applies to you, please send me a message indicating you’re free to be interviewed on the phone. We really need sources for our article, and would appreciate anyone who can talk on the phone for just a few minutes.
Thanks,
The Brown Daily Herald’s admission writer
