All right...we're all in this thing together. However, all we really know about each other is stats and those extracurriculars that we think look best to colleges. Why don't we put more about our personalities out there? I'm thinking a "favorites thread" is in order.

Here are some of the ones I'm thinking about. I know they're in a random order (ie: year, month and day are all spread out amongst it), so I'm sorry about that.

Haha! Nightcrawler is teh awesome, Fizz. I never could quite deal with Zinn, though. Maybe because my APUSH teacher pitted him against our awesome Garraty textbook.

Yeah we had kind of a bad textbook- like Bailey and Kennedy or something like that. It glossed over the more touchy social issues. That's why I find Zinn somewhat refreshing and he opens my mind to perspectives I might not have thought about before.

and yes nightcrawler was so adorable in a strange awkward way

oh and i love drawing too! mostly painting actually, that's my thing. I used to do photography but it got bumped out of my schedule for art class. Kind of funny though, when i did take it I was visiting Duke with my brother a couple years ago when he was looking at schools, so I have like an entire roll from the duke gardens. Those were some of my best/favorite pics.

Oh man, we wrote so many essays comparing Zinn and Garraty's views on things like Columbus. I came upon one today and visibly shuddered.

Were you visiting during spring? I am always, always awed by how beautiful they are. We filmed a spoof of the Iliad at the Gardens that involved chasing someone through the bamboo with a knife in tenth grade. We got THE strangest looks. I'm surprised we weren't arrested. (:

I keep wanting to paint, but I can never justify getting out paint when I can just pull out scrap paper and a pencil. >_<

Yeah I was there in the spring.... it was beautiful.

I have a riddle for you all. If you know it already let other people try if they want. :)

I'm thinking of something. The person who makes it doesn't use it, the person who buys it doesn't want it, and the person who uses it doesn't know it. What is it?
