ED I and II at the same time

<p>I was under the impression that you can only have one pending ED app of any kind out at a time, but according to CommonApp's official document on plan rules found at <a href="https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/Docs/DownloadForms/2012/2012DecisionPlanRules.pdf%5B/url%5D"&gt;https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/Docs/DownloadForms/2012/2012DecisionPlanRules.pdf&lt;/a> you can apply ED II if even you apply ED I as well. Is this true, or just a misleading chart? </p>

<p>Is it ok to have both an ED I and II app pending, but just withdraw then ED II app upon being accepted ED I if I know for a fact I will not receive a decision on ED II until after ED I?</p>

<p>You’d have to be rejected or deferred at the EDI school before you could apply EDII elsewhere. You are not supposed to have simultaneous early decision applications pending.</p>
