Does ED Round II really express your interest to Vandy as a number 1 choice and boost your chances as much as ED Round I? Because it seems to me that you could apply ED to other schools, get your decision back, and if you don't get in, you still have time for Round II ED. Why do they even have a Round II ED?

Vanderbilt has ED II to attract top students who applied early to another school and did not get in to apply to Vanderbilt. Have not seen any numbers on admissions rates between ED II and ED I, but would suspect the ED II rates are comparable as it comes with the same promise to attend the university if accepted.

i think another difference between ed1 and ed2 are the testing deadlines. if you are planning on taking the sats in december, then ed1 is not for you.

Both have the same effect on your chances of admission. And considering I got in EDII with a 3.06 unweighted, I’d say the effect is of marked improvement.

Is it true that they either accept or deny in ED rounds- apps are not deferred to regular pool?

Yes, no deferred pool. But I am not sure about ED2.

3.06 unweighted, what are your other stats?

wizhalifa1, what medical disease did you cure? Congrats.
