ED I Thread!

Hey,

I figured that everyone could post here since we have about one month until we find out if we got in. I can't take it anymore!!!

Also, I wanted to know, has anyone received notification for an interview, or their username and password to check their application status?

~Ben

Is there no one else!? Is there no one else?! lol, jeez, only one month left.

I got my Tufts ED I decision on Friday the 13th of December, the luckiest day of my life. I still remember checking the admissions site every 5 minutes the night before!

My D is applying EDI and got her acknowledgement with username etc last week. That letter also told her that she would be contacted within the next 3 weeks for an interview and if not, whom she should contact.

So Snuffles, your decision last year was posted on the admissions site first before you received a letter? I guess my D will start checking in early December. Do you remember how the decisions worked, i.e. for ED I, are you accepted or deferred to regular decision or could you be deferred to ED 2 or outright rejected?

^ I'm curious about this as well. I did just get an email with my username and password though, phew, hehe.

Actually I'm a class of 2003 (high school) so that was really more like 2-3 years ago :) The way it worked was that Tufts would email you when your decisions were ready (and it typically was between december 13th and 17th depending on whenever they would like to release them) and you would log onto the website and sign some sort of electronic waiver form before you could find out your decision. For EDI, 3 things can happen to you: you can be accepted, denied, or deferred to the RD pool - no need to reapply as they will reevaluate your application along with the normal students come time decisions come out but you will no longer be bound by the early decision contract I believe. The same process goes for EDII.

i got my reciept, which was meant to have my username and password on it, but it wasnt there... i also got assigned and had my interview...so now i just have to wait

Snuffles, thanks for the info. So how much do you love Tufts? My D will be crushed if she doesn't get in but we are crossing fingers and toes and hoping.

Well I have been here unofficially representing Tufts for 2 years now so I must love the university somewhat :) I honestly believe that I could not be happier elsewhere. Academically, I've grown significantly compared to when I was a freshman and Tufts has helped me realize so many things in life that I would be hardput to find elsewhere. It's really quite a special place.

^ Sounds good, heh. I have my interview this Sunday at this retired alumni's house, he seems very nice, any suggestions snuffles?

As the cliche goes, be yourself (and charming doesn't hurt either).
