there is a big difference between “tomorrow” and “early next week.” COME ON VASSAR. (jk i love you.)

my lack of patience is almost disgusting but i don’t even care.

oh but thanks for the update hahah

I’m slowly dieing here!!! I have the whole school crossing their fingers for me to get in!!! LOL. My desperation is quite disgusting.

What’s worse is that in NY it’s regents week so I don’t have school this entire week so there is nothing to distract me! (except for the senior trip this weekend which will hopefully be a blast and be a major distraction).

well, this essentially means that decisions are made and there’s nothing left to do but wait. I’m 99% sure that i’ll be facing rejection yet again, but i’m surprisingly chill about it.

I know, there’s such a huuuuuuuuuuuge difference between in the mail tomorrow and early next week. But, from what I read from the regular ed posts, like 97% of people had the letter on or before December 15th. I am, of course, calling again tomorrow at the very first opportunity. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that they do send them out tomorrow (Because, if it really was random at this point, I don’t think the woman at the admissions office would even mention the word “tomorrow” and then add in “or by the end of the week”).

I will, obviously, post as soon as possible after I call tomorrow. Everyone feel free to call with me! With enough persistance, someone will eventually be able to nail down a day or time!

ooops, i just reread my post and forgot to explain…the first round of early decision kids were expecting december 15th, just like we’re waiting on february 1st. but most of them had the letter on or before then.

AlexPxOxD, we need meditation. I have been so excited/nervous/tortured I haven’t been able to concentrate on anything! My patience is running short. I hope I get in!!!

@bluwind330 what do you mean again? This is your second time applying or did you get deffered?

BTW- I didn’t get a chance to wish the best of luck to everyone!!

we do need some epic epic epic meditation. vassar was added on to my list veeeeeery late in the applying process (its smaller than i originally was thinking, so it didn’t come up on my multiple searches) and i dove in head first with ed. but i honestly didn’t know a gigantic amount about it until recently. and with everything i’m reading, im just like shaking with nervousness. i haven’t even visited yet! =(
but hopefully, if there is good news in the letter, my best friend and i are gonna skip school one day we both dont have midterms next week and drive up (I live in south jersey so it’s only like a 3 and a half hour drive)

GOOOD LUCK TO ALL

oh by the way, i’m a girl alex, like alexandra =D

I’m hoping to visit this Thursday! I’m meeting my friend, who is currently a freshman, there (he was the one that introduced me to Vassar; it wasn’t his top choice but it offered the best financial package and he ended up loving the college the most after visiting). Unlike him, I am freaking out over Vassar b/c it is my first choice and I absolutely love it.

Oh by the way, I’m a boy jon, like jonathan. XD

Booo my attempt at breaking the ice.

the only thing getting me through all of the waiting is vlogbrothers. (if you don’t know what vlogbrothers is, search it on youtube for hours of endless entertainment)

GAH my friend and i always want to make spontaneous Vassar trips (because we’re mega-lame and only live 1.5 hours away) but then we get all depressed at the prospect of rejection and blah blah blah.

@bluewind330 yeah this is my second attempt at ED, my first being amherst…woo rejection! but honestly thank god i got rejected from there because i had never even known of vassar until mid-december

how much does a polar bear weigh?
nough to break the ice, hi i’m girl lucia (pronounced loosha)

*enough
…fail

That’s what has been stopping me all this time! Then I set a day and told my dad to take that day off to drive me up (I also live only 1.5 hours away). I’m afraid visiting will only excite me more!! ahh!!

– I will look up these vlogbrothers.

I hate regents week this year. No regents and all I can do is think about Vassar.

I feel you loosh. I feel you.
BTW- I think it was destined for you to apply to Vassar. If you would of gotten accepted to Amherst, we would of never met you and you would of never gone to Vassar for sure and there would of been no possibility that we can all be classmates. =]

Aw, you guys are all so awesome!

I’d be so lucky to have all of you as classmates (that is, if I get in RD). :D

Best of luck to everyone!

Reading all this makes me so excited for you guys. When you get your letters, let us know! I got accepted EDI and when I found out, I immediately went online on my cellphone to let the other CC EDI kids know, haha.

Fingers crossed, everyone!

P.S. I’m Matt. The boy kind.

jon: when you say this thursday…do you mean tomorrow? or like thursday next week??
if i do get accepted, i’m planning to go thursday next week hopefully. buy my vassar hoodie and all. GOD I’M DYING! i want toooooo know! I feel for those of you who have off…I have school and am dying still. I have midterms next week but most of my teachers had them early, so I have plenty of time to just relax in class and daydream and obsess.
