THERE WAS NO LETTER criess

oh no jon! won’t someone be home to tell you??

how was vassar!!

Yes, but is it the same as me opening it myself? Or should I just call home to check?

Vassar was great! You guys will love it! It was an automatic feeling of warmth even though it was snowing (Vassar looks great when it’s snowing btw!)

it’s a tough one. i think i’d call home. and at least see if its there. and maybe have them hold it up to the light and look for any key words.

DYING!

i told my mom that whatever she does, she must not take the mail out of the mailbox because i wanted to be the first one to know. however if you have to wait more than 2 days…i would call. personally. my extreme impatience sort of out weighs my dignity.

today when i went to check the mail (like 5 seconds after the mailman left) i threw open my mailbox and just stood a few feet away from it looking at its contents trying to see if i could spot a big envelope. there WAS a big envelope. but it was not from vassar. or any other institution of high learning. and it did not contain pants. all three of which were big disappointments.

I will probably call home then!!

When I got home, i checked the mail, and there were two big envelopes. I got really excited. Then I looked at them and they were from Colgate and Fairleigh Dickinson. Colgate sent me a brochure (-_____-) and Fairleigh accepted me with a 73k scholarship(!)… unfortunately I was kind of disappointed because there was no Vassar. =*(

Anybody has Facebook?

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!

Just a note—the acceptance letter is thin and probably the same size as the deferral/rejection letter.

someone who i know that got in EDI said that their acceptance letter came in a big envelope hmm…

loosh!? bethany huh? AHS right? Im from orange

wait, i thought the acceptance letter was big and thin and that the rejection letter was small and thin?

ohhayyy, You are correct. My D just said that the acceptance letter was in a manila envelope and thin.

It means you’re getting in! They’re the pants of Vassar love! =]

@ ohhayyyy
I told my mom the same thing! She hasn’t touched the mail all week and I keep dashing down my block to get to the mail.

I won’t be home until late tomorrow so I’ll be anxious all day… I want the pants of Vassarness! We should all do some sort of exotic college good luck chant to calm our nerves. I’ll get the drums! :P

oofifelldown, you are so full of win!

This waiting is endless. I want it to be over. It’s torture.

@trackkid yeah! there are so many amity people on this thread!! i never knew! in case my username doesn’t give it away, i’m lucia (the only one in the senior class)

I am seriously, seriously dying of anticipation. I just want to know! Honestly I think I’d be fine if we had like three more weeks to wait. But it’s just like…killing me that the decision is already out into the universe and I can’t know! This is a cruel and unusual form of punishment. I’ve spent like the last two nights without homework trying not to get to obsessive about my constant vassar research.

CRAZINESS! I really hope the letter is in the mail tomorrow. Please, please, please vassar gods, help me out here.

Correction! I meant to say today! The letter better be here today!

so wait…the acceptance letter is big and thin. but what’s the rejection letter look like? ahhh!

my letter came today…accepted!!!

best of luck to all of you! i truly hope to see you next year!!

Congratulations Loosh! You must be thrilled!!! I have been following this thread for the last day or so as my son has also been waiting for ED 2 Vassar but has been swamped with mid terms and hasn’t had much time obsess over waiting; so I have been doing it for him. I have a question for you. His letter came today and he won’t be home for until late tonight. It is very thin but it is a large white envelope with Vassar printed in large letters along the bottom. If it were an acceptance letter, I would think it would be thicker. If it were a rejection, I would think it would be in a regular size envelope. We’re a bit confused:-). What did your envelope look like? Was it thick?

Thanks!!!
