ohh really? I think in the past they notified the other candidates on the 15th.
@polarknut ask your counselor to send it in ! I’m not sure about the deadline.
I’m legit freaking out waiting for the decision!!! Does anyone know about how many applicants there are for ED?
It’s like 230 for both ED I & II…but idk about how many for each…they don’t disclose that
I’d bet it’s probably an even split and I know that they admit like 46% overall from ED applicant pool.
So anxious omg.
I have a widget on my phone that’s counting down the days. It’s so close now!
Did we ever figure out what day EDII notifications would be? I’m rather nervous too… hahaha
@polarknut I’m guessing it’ll be the week of February 15th but we can’t know for sure because it’s a little different each year.
My school is still calculating our Midyear rankings so Scripps still hasn’t recieved my S1 grades which is making me a tad nervous.
Same! It will be okay though I think…there cannot be that many applicants this round…
My bet for the release date is the 15th…or at least I hope it is!
@AnneKatherine same here - my midyear reports haven’t been sent yet, and I’m kind of worried too. I want to talk to my counselor about it, but she’s already so swamped with other things to do that I’m reluctant to rush her. We’ll figure it out.
If all three of us are in the same boat, I’m assuming that it’s not too abnormal to have Midyear grades sent in late.
I called the admissions office just barely, and they told me that “since other schools are also finishing first semester at different times, the midyear report will not prevent your application from being read” and that I should get my counselor to send it in whenever it becomes available.
And to @AnneKatherine and @helenanca/whoever else mentioned the Feb 15 notification date, I think you guys are right. I checked the common data set for the past two years and it’s landed on 2/15 consistently, so hopefully it’ll be on the same date!
yay! That is such a relief to know the date almost for sure. I just hope my 7th-semester transcript gets sent in on time for them to make a decision…a good decision.
GUYS I’m so nervous !!!
Same here, I’m nervous too! Nothing we can do but wait though!
Is anyone else still missing their mid-year report and 7th-semester transcript? I am so worried they won’t accept me because they STILL don’t have it and there is only a week left…
@helenanca My guidance counselor turned it in on Friday, just a few hours after I sent the Scripps Admissions Office an email detailing my situation (with an unofficial copy of my S1 report card attached). Scripps hasn’t replied to my email but I’m sure the admissions committee is terribly busy at the moment and my email really doesn’t make sense now that my Mid Year report is in. I would check in with your guidance counselor to make sure that they’re working on sending your paperwork in. If they are, it’s not on you. However, you might want to send Scripps an unofficial copy of your report card for the time being if you can/want to. I know that Lewis & Clark temporarily accepted an unoffical screenshot of my SAT score back in November because the College Board was having issues.
@AnneKatherine same here, my guidance counselor sent it in sometime between last Thursday and today.
@AnneKatherine & @polarknut my guidance counselor said that she would submit it at the end of last week but it hasn’t been processed yet…if it was even submitted and I feel bad nagging her about it again. And I’d totally send my report card…but I’m homeschooled and so my grades are coming from the community college, an online school, and from American U soooo it would be a nightmare to do and they probably wouldn’t accept it anyways. During my interview at Scripps the woman basically told me that my education and grades were invalid so I’m already on thin ice here.
@helenanca Did you do an interview with an alum? I feel like that’s a ridiculous statement for someone to make and if it was said by someone employed by Scripps, you totally could have complained. 0.o
