<p>i'm 99% set on vassar for ed II, but i want some opinions on my chances</p>
<p>so we don't do gpa's but my average is 89/90 at a school where 95 is the highest grade and about 10% of students have above a 90 average.
SAT 2130 (680 CR, 680 M, 770 W)
subject tests 720 french with listening, 670 bio M (freshman year)</p>
<p>classes:
math: honors integrated math I- honors alg II/trig- honors precalc- statistics
eng: eng 9- eng 10- american studies english (philosophy based honors level)- imperialism/narrative (senior seminars)
history/social studies: world hist I- world hist II- american studies history (compliments english)- psychology (no ap offered) and masters thesis (on art therapy and art in early education)
language- french IIa- french IIIa- ap language- nothing (there were no options left, so i doubled in history)
science- advanced bio- chem- contemporary issues/human physio (seminars)- ap bio
art (visual/performing)- orchestra- studio art I/b&w photo I- photo II/independent study in advanced wheel techniques (ceramics)- year-long independent study photo
other- world religions, public speaking</p>
<p>5 year community service commitment, trilingual, studied abroad in northwest argentina, president of orchestra, violin for 10 years, visual art- darkroom photo and ceramics, award-winning MUN delegate (6 years), i've had a job at a ceramics studio for 2 years, distinguished expert marksman...</p>
<p>i personally think that my essays are really good, and my parents (both professional writers) agree, but they are my parents haha. i have great recs from sci and language teachers, one from my art teacher (who is also my advisor) and a nice one from my college counselor. </p>
<p>what do you guys think? i'm already in EA to bard, but denied at tufts ed I. i love vassar, so i'm pretty sure on ED II, but i'm not sure what my chances are!
