ED II Chances

Does anyone know if there is any advantage to applyin ED II instead of RD besides getting a decision sooner?

You may have a better chance EDII than RD.

Do you think I have a chance ED II :

White/Asian Male (Syria)
GPA (W) 4.222 (we dont have UW)
Rank: 12/259 (top 5%)
SAT: Verbal: 650 Math:730 Writing: 710
SAT II; MAth IIC 750 Biology M 710

Very good EC's

First Aid Squad (NJ Certified EMT-Basic) 10 hours per week 52 weeks per year
Pac Sun (25 hrs per week) dont work there anymore tho had to quit for EMT classes
Economics Club (9-12)
Earth Club TREASURER (9-12)
Roller Hockey CAPTAIN (9-12)
International Concerns Club (9-12)
Soccer (9-11) Varsity Letter 11

Good essay and decent letters of recc

Do I have any chance ED II?

BUMP please

Yes! Go for it....

Thx missmolly I'm gonna go for ED II!

whats the difference between ED and ED II?

Nothing except for the dates

ED I November 15
ED II January 1

so are the chances higher if you do ED 1 for WUSTL or if you do ED II or are they the same considering that they are both ED

Apparently Wash U doesn't like giving out the ED rates but i would assume ED I and II are the same and maybe slighlty higher (25% - 30%) than
RD (20% - 22%)

I'm guessing on the ED %'s but the RD % is true

I always thought EDII was always slightly lower since it's sometimes used as a second ED or EA school if the 1st ended in a deferral or rejection

Not sure but possibly. Anyone know?

how can RD be 20-22% if the acceptance rate is less than 10%? hm... you do the math

the acceptance rate is not less than 10% ( idk what ur talking about maybe u should get ur facts straight before you post next time)

10% is referring to the applicants that attend the college freshman year out of the total applications (19000 applied maybe 4500 accepted but only 1500 go) the 1500 is where ur getting ur 10% (do some more research buddy)

yeah, i talked to the associate director of admissions last weekend and he told me the acceptance rate is ~19%
