ED II Decisions

I am sticking to Bowdoin EDII afterall! :)

When do the decisions come out exactly?

OMG OMG

Ajay,

Our decision letters went out today. I believe we will also be e-mailing international applicants shortly.

oh.
em.
gee.
hahaha

does anyone know if they send the letters via Fedex, express mail, etc. or how many days it will take?

Well if you are in US its going to take max. 2-3 days. And since I am an international its like more than a week for me.

On asking about whether they are going to email the decisions today - They said no. :(

i got innnnnnnnn

Congrats!
I just realized that ajayc is from India, so letters were actually sent out yesterday for us US people.

Did you receive your letter Imfrommaine4? OR E-Mail?

Yeah do they send it by Fedex or something? Do they send acceptance packets or just simple acceptance letters initially?

yes. Got in! Bowdoin sent the folder via USPS. Live in MA

I live in nyc, didn't get anything today. now im worried...

no reason to be. Apparently, hardly anyone on college confidential has received mail from Bowdoin

congrats twowire and Imfrommaine4....I have not received anything yet. Since I am an intl std I should be receiving email anytime soon.

USPS? People if you dont get your packet within next two days consider yourself rejected/deferred. USPS takes at the most three days to give stuff anywhere in this world. So there.

BUT I had asked on the FB Bowdoin group and they said they had got it through normal mail.

Oops here said USPS not UPS, my bad. It takes over a week for USPS to deliver the letter to India.

I am fairly certain that is was not regular USPS but some kind of priority/express mailing.

Is there a specific person that I contact via email regarding financial aid? I cannot seem to find his/her email address on the Bowdoin website.

Shoot a mail to the admissions office and ask them! :)

what do you guys think of this ominous "good standing" statement Bowdoin made in the acceptance letter? :
"...remain in good academic and social standing at your school."

Almost all acceptance letter say that. It just means to keep attending class, keep your grades rather consistent and don't do anything reprimandable.
