ED II Question

S has applied ED to Dartmouth. Should that fail, he would like to apply ED II to Midd.

The Midd pre-app is due 12/15, where I assume he must declare for ED II.

If he hasn't yet heard from Dartmouth can he & we sign the early decision form for Midd and then withdraw it later, if he is subsequently accepted to Dartmouth?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

You will most likely hear from Dartmouth before the 15th. Last year the decisions came out on the 12th and the year before on the 8th.

im doing the exact same thing as your son. and yes, i believe you can do that, just as you can withdraw an ED I application, as long its before they have made a final decision

^Word; ED at Dartmouth. Is there any advantage to ED II at Middlebury? You find out the same time you would RD and such...

You find out the decision in early February.
