Wow, I honestly can't believe it. I was so nervous and my heart was racing, but I got in! :) Please share your results with us.

What were your stats? I’m hoping to get into CMC, class of 2012. :D

I got in too(: looking forward to starting in August!

does anyone know if the roommate questionnaire thing is reliable? Like, do they really use it to assign roommates?

Sorry I took so long Stevenf haha, but here are my stats:

Location: Virginia
Ethnicity: Hispanic
GPA W: 4.0, upward trend
Competitive public high school
SAT: 2020 (M: 610, W: 740, CR: 660) 1270 with CR and M
APs taken by end of year: AP Psych, AP Macro, AP Micro, APUSH, AP Lang, AP Stats

Average extracurricular/leadership, good (but not excellent) essays, great letters of rec from the one that I read, first gen college student, visited campus

As you can see, I wasn’t a top candidate for CMC, but I still got in, which makes me ecstatic :)

Do you think if I have a weighted GPA of around 4.5 or more, relatively good leadership, okay ECs, a ~2300 SAT score, and good essays I could get in (with merit aid hopefully)?
Unfortunately I have no hooks; college educated, high(er) income, white.

CMC parent here-

Congratulations to socallovin and ilane1011…you are in for a great 4 years!

And yes, they really do use the questionnaire to match up roommates.

Stevenf-

Nice stats. They will certainly get you considered but at Claremont they really are looking past that for fit with the school. Good luck!

yes and fill it out carefully. Remember to be honest and you can be as nit-picky as you’d like…or else you’d really regret it.
