<p>I know that Early Decision I gives you a real boost in your admissions chances, but does ED II actually help at all?</p>

<p>I’ve heard it helps. It shows that you’re definitely focused on the school. It’s a good option if you’re worried about financial aid and what will happen if it doesn’t work out.</p>

If you are worried about financial aid, applying to ED (I or II) would not be a good idea, because if accepted, you are bound to that school, and will not be able to compare financial aid/merit packages from other schools.</p>
