I asked for a "chance" thread before....but I didn't really get enough feedback, so here I am again!

Yamaha Piano Graduate: I passed enough exams to become a piano teacher.

Why do I want to go to ILR?
I've learned from environmental work that I'm very interested in policy and how people work together. ILR gives me breadth in my education: so I can understand how people work in all sorts of situations, not just in environmental cases. I'm also academically inclined towards discussions, and the social-sciences.

Why do I want to go to CALS? (Alternate)
CALS focuses on the environment.
I did tons and tons of environmental work in high school. The fit is pretty simple.
(Although, I don't have a science sat 2, so that'll probably count against me. I did get straight A's in 2 years of physics though...)

Would it be better if I applied to CALS and then transferred later to ILR if I got in? I'm beginning to see that as maybe a better option for "getting in."
I'm really more interested in ILR though. It just seems that CALS fits me better. Any ideas?
