i applied northwestern ED and got my rejection on december 15th. Anyone know if I can reapply ED II to Emory which has a deadline of Jan 1st (i think)?

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to..ED "contracts", persay, are no longer valid once the school rejects/defers you..

if you were rejected from Northwestern ED I, there's nothing that can stop you from applying ED II to Emory. The rejection breaks the ED contract.

Apply ED to Emory University as your contractual obligation to Northwestern University ended when they rejected you. This is also true for ED deferrals which become an RD application. OP: You are not, hopefully, reapplying to Emory ED as that would constitute a violation of your ED application agreement with Northwestern, you are simply applying ED II to Emory University after an ED rejection or deferral from NU.
P.S. To Post #3: Northwestern University does not have an ED I or II, it is simply ED as there is only one round of ED apps considered & offered by NU.
