Im applying to pomona, Claremont, and Pitzer. Im not math or science oriented and im also a guy, so that eliminates the other 2. Those are the only schools in cali that i am applying in besides my four UCs.

they're so amazing!!! I took a class in 18th century women's lit at Pomona this past semester and learned more (about something I never expected to learn anything about, too) in those fifteen weeks than probably in the rest of my seventeen years as an English speaker.

Philosophy, but not the old dead white guys--more of environmental ethics, business ethics, etc. This semester she co-taught a class with a biologist on stem cells, which I wish I could have taken! Luckily a lot of liberal arts schools are heavy on interdisciplinary possibilities.

That's part of my justification for going to the east coast--I'd almost never HAVE to come home.

Claremont's nice enough, but boring if you've grown up here--it's a very tiny college town. The colleges do a nice job of sustaining some level of entertainment for younger people, at least, and LA is only a trainride away.

I'm not being fair. Claremont is quite nice--many trees and coffeeshops. It's the Inland Empire (which surrounds it) I'd recommend avoiding.

haha
nope
I had to go there the other day for an Interview
I live a little farther in a very small town, near Fresno, but I sure as hell dont live in fresno, Its trash, lol. I live in a small town called Avenal.
