ED notification date count down

Swat WOULD write "this is the fat one" but now that its not I guess you'll have less of a panic attack.
you posted everday before and after you got into Swat, didnt you Forgetmenots. I totally can see your stalking this site...
28 hrs.

Of course forgetmenots did, Halima. Just like I went and read a bunch of his/her old posts to try to figure out when the notifications were received last year--which is how I came up with my data in the first place.

Good luck everyone!!!

All this Hav-Swat overlap!

Haha, I try to stay out of it, I swear, but I'm a student host (as you well know, Halima!) and a generally interested Swattie...I know how crazy ED time was for me last year, so I just try to ease any concerns (I probably had to be told 10 times that all the envelopes were the same size before it sunk in)! It'll be okay regardless. :]

wait so is it now liek offical taht they were sent out today and if you live close by you'll get them tomarrow? this is INTENSE

I don't think it's official... but very likely? I'm hoping for one tomorrow. I'm getting the braces off tomorrow morning so that will either make my day super awesome or it will help mitigate some of the unhappiness.

I don't think they were sent "officially" at all today, Brillar. I called the admissions office and the woman there informed me "they would be sent sometime this week." She wasn't particularly friendly about it. A few more people should call, maybe later this afternoon and then tomorrow and see if different receptionists respond differently. Post your responses!

To all of you on tenterhooks...
Good Luck!! some info from last year. They were sent out on Monday, the 12th, as you all know. The first CC poster to receive an acceptance by mail lived in Pennsylvania. It arrived on the 13th. My daughter was the second CC'er to get hers. It arrived on the morning of the 14th--on Long Island (NY). It was 6 by 9 inches, thinnish, and did not say "this is the fat one." The internationals were notified by email and started hearing on the 12th.
again, good luck. my daughter loves swat!

Whoops! that was 2 years ago, not last year! daughter is 2010

how did that work? wasn't the 12th a sunday two years ago? ahhhh i want my letter nowwwww

Yup, I said it was official, but by looking at that last post, it seems they have a trend of sending them on Monday.

I doubt the poor receptionist is going to have better feelings about it tomorrow- She's probably getting a bajillion calls asking about the same thing.

...It would be nice if they just posted online "Hey- we sent them out! Expect to get them in the mail soon!" This last week is torture.

If you guys were told you'd be informed by the 15th, start expecting letters (if you're local) on the 13th, but not any earlier. I'm fairly certain that they mail the letters at the same time every year (I'm working in admissions, but I'm not dealing with earlies, sorry!) so...good luck waiting!

Wow I am SO nervous. I KNOW I won't get my letter tomorrow (I'm local), but I probably won't sleep tonight anyway. Oh how this process is aging me...

Haha, I'll definitely sleep, but I will still check the mail tomorrow.

I wonder if I'm close enough to still get the letter the day after they mail it- an hour away doesn't seem too far. I'll cross my fingers.

By the way, Treesnogger, if you see this: My friend Jen said that mail to CA takes about three days.

So I can't take this. All this lost sleep and I might not get in.
Ugh. Every day I think, "today is the day" but it never is.

Good luck to everyone from the parent of a recently graduated ('07) Swattie.
He received his ED envelope on a Saturday-they had been mailed on a Thursday, so it must not be sent on the same day from year to year.
The thin ED envelope had no particular markings on the outside to indicate acceptance or rejection.

Halima, my sentiments exactly.

hey, does anyone here know when internationals can receive email notifications??
thanks!!

Today's not the day.
