^I was shaking for quite a bit after finding out xDD

this video is an acceptance right?

Yes! If you click About This Video there will be more information.
Like “Yes, the big envelope is on the way.” :D

I guess that means I’m in! Congrats to all my future friends.

My son is very excited to be accepted. Congratulations to all the other future Reedies on CC

I’m in! Can’t wait to see that envelope! Congrats everyone.

Accepted! I was checking my email around every five minutes on my phone… such an amazing feeling… Congratulations to my future class! =]

I have been defered to the regular admissions!!! Is there any hope for me anyone? Can anyone give me facts or something about defered Reed College students? I really want to go to this college. Ever since I first saw this college, I have been in love with it. Any information will help me. Just so you know, I am African American with a 4.0 weighted GPA and 1780 SAT score. I have lots of extracurricular activies and I poured my heart out when writing the essays.

jussmall, 1780 is pretty low. I would definitely retake it. best of luck to you

I have taken the SAT and ACT in December and are waiting for the results of them. But still, the SAT is hard! Even though I study my Gruber prep book, most of the questions, especially the math ones, can stump me. I do not know how some of you can get in the 2000’s except that you have been studying for years while I have been for only a few months.

^I don’t know anyone who studied for years for the SAT…I took one class, took it, didn’t do anything for 7 months, then retook it and got my current score. I’m sorry you didn’t get accepted, though! Maybe next time.

I still have a chance in March of being accepted. I have taken the SAT and ACT this Dec. and am waiting for the results. I fell that I did really well on the ACT. Unlike the SAT, I knew almost every answer on the ACT. There may still be hope for me.

Yeah, I didn’t really study…Well, I did review some math concepts…Not sure it did too much good lol.

Eh…There are so many great schools besides Reed. I actually think your revised list is really excellent. And DO NOT apply early decision to a school on a whim, even with the allure of free tuition.

Also seconding Francaisalamatt’s comment about greek life: greek life is not evil. It can be neat at the right place. Certainly, you don’t want a school that is dominated by it, but I’d imagine if the parties are open (anyone is welcome), it could make for good fun.

I’m a little late here, but I got accepted too. Also, I just noticed (maybe I’m a little slow) that we’re gonna be a part of the 100th class to go through Reed. I think that’s pretty cool.

Congrats!

But wow, really? That’s so awesome! Gahh I don’t wanna be in high school anymore…

Lol :p. The senior slump is tough guys, but don’t let yourselves slip below a b

After careful deliberation, I have decided to just apply RD to my other colleges. I still hope I get accepted into Reed, but there are also the other colleges that I like. Although, I really wanted to attend a Renn Fayre. But, I will just have to deal with the circumstances. :-(

:(
Good luck wherever you end up, especially if it’s Reed!

So you’ll be part of the 100th class to go through Reed? I was part of the 50th class. I am older than rock.

You’ll have an outstanding life at and after Reed. That’s a rock-solid guarantee. Congratulations, all.

Franciasalamatt: That’s how I figured it anyway, the school opened in 1911. And yeah, senioritis sucks, but you just have to push through (although I did spend half of my time in school today playing peggle on my phone…)
jussmall: Almost any school in the country has a carnival similar (although certainly not exactly like) the Renn Fayre, so I’m sure you’ll have that experience wherever you go. I still wish you the best of luck getting into Reed and hope to see you in the fall!
mackinaw: Thank you very much, I’m positive we all will. Also, my uncle just sent me the Reed entry from “The Underground Guide to Colleges” (circa 40-50 years ago, I think), so I got a nice glimpse of what your Reed experience must’ve been like.
