Personally, I was hoping to glean such information from a toothpaste tube. Sadly, it appears that Colgate follows a traditional method of distributing decisions. Good luck to fellow ED applicants!

my college counselor called colgate today and they said that they mail the letters on the 11th in hope that most everyone will receive them by the 15th (the true notification date).

Does Colgate notify its decisions to international applicants via email in advance or the applicants have to wait till the letters arrive? I can’t stand the suspense :(

I wonder how many internationals apply ED (I hope not too many, because I want to get accepted! I doubt that matters in ED though. )

I’m pretty sure we’ll have to wait till a few days after the domestic students get their decision to get ours. (Maybe, if it’s a yes, they might have it sent through a faster service). I don’t think they’ll email it.

Recently, Colgate has accepted 4-5 students from my country each year (I wonder if it’s the same this year :D), so I guess I am competing against many applicants from my country also
I heard that if we do not get the decision after a few days from Dec 15, it probably means that a rejection letter is on its way via snail mail :((
Anyway, wish me and everybody the best!!

so Colgate does follow the big envelope = good, small = bad, rule? I’m just wondering, i know some schools have changed recently to just sending all admission decisions via small letter

My sister accidentally threw out my letter about checking my application status online thinking it was just something of little importance haha. I would hugely appreciate it if someone would post the address for the URL that leads you to the appstatus page. Once I get that, my information to log in is saved on my computer.

Unfortunately, the computer did not save my user name and password as I thought it would. I’d rather not call the admissions office as I don’t want to pester anyone the week of decision-making haha. So I heard above in the thread that Colgate always sends its responses via mail, and not the appstatus site. Is that for sure true?

Hey, the letter will not have your username and password. The username and password should come by email. Also, if all your materials were received then you need not worry (I think).

I’m interested in hearing when anyone from the pacific NW hears about their decision. I really wish that they would just post it online, it would make life so much easier.

Alright here’s the template, for those of you will be receiving tomorrow and the day after. (Mine will come later I think):
REMEMBER TO REMOVE THE SPACES INSIDE THE SQUARE BRACKETS (E.X MAKE IT [EXAMPLE] NOT [ EXAMPLE])
