Me too, so anxious! I’m not going to be able to concentrate all week… And on Sunday, I’m going to my grandparents’ house to celebrate Hanukkah with my family… If I get rejected from Emory, Oxford, and Tulane on Saturday, I might be too embarrassed to go, ahah…

Haha I know! I’m invited to a wedding that Saturday night so I either show up with a huge smile on my face, tears in my eyes, or I show up nude and throw cake in everyone’s faces haha I don’t even know how I’m supposed to focus on school all week

I’m nervous too. And 5 days fly pretty fast for me…

So nervous I can’t even think straight. Good thing I have like 4 tests this week.

I’m going to go nuts this week. On the bright side, at least AP Macroeconomics online is over, so I have a free period to sit in the library with friends!

So is the time for decisions still 7 PM? Or is it earlier as someone had mentioned? Anyone know?

I heard if ED is on a Saturday, it’s early morning, like 7 am!

Oh goodness. I have a debate tournament Saturday and my rounds start early morning. Not sure if I should check my decision before or after haha

Maymay, no matter what happens, I doubt you’ll be able to concentrate…=P

On another note, they need to ban posts in this thread from counting toward my post count… I’ve posted so many times!

Very true, Eli! Trying to think of a way to make the time pass faster… not working so far

SOOOOOOOO EXCITED / NERVOUS!! Cant wait

Are you all telling your parents about the notification date? I don’t want my parents to all crowd around the computer when I check, in case I get rejected or something… … But my brother already knows about the date.

Does anybody know if theyll email us before dec 15 and tell us exact time and date? Im pretty sure they did last year just a few days before

I just got a college confidential account–mainly because of this thread! Could any of you tell me what you think my chances are of getting in to Emory’s main campus if I post my stats?

Sorry if that was an extremely long post… I am just freaking out…

Wyldee, I think you have a good chance to get accepted. Your GPA is good, SAT score is a little low, but I think the fact that you have great ECs, have shown interest in Emory, and are applying ED1 should make up for that.

Here are my stats:

3.86 gpa UW (upward trend though), 79/599 rank
2120 SAT (690 CR, 680 M, 750 W)
-10 AP classes
President and founder of Indian Cultural Exchange
President of Spanish Club
Vice President of Environmental Club
Ultimate Frisbee Team- 2 years
Travel Baseball Team- 4 years
Volunteer over Summer at Emory Hospital and Grady Hospital- 75 hours
Also, I visited the school twice and went to their information session when they came to my school

Wydeedo, I agree with emoryhopeful. Plus your ACT, although also a bit low, compensates for you SAT.

emoryhopeful, are you Indian?

@purple1995 I’ve heard from past students and my cousin who was accepted for transfer, and they all said they got an email in the morning of the notification day for specific time they are releasing and how to check your decision.
How much does Emory consider about your interest when it comes to admission? I made an attempt to go to any college fair or visit in my area but I live in Midwest and they rarely do them in Midwest… plus it’s really far away from where I live. And my family couldn’t really afford to go to actual college visit with me because of bad economy and low income…
Any idea?

@maymay, I’m Bengali actually, but the Indian Cultural Exchange thing is meant to support the Indian subcontinent in general, so Bangladeshi culture, Pakistani culture, Indian culture, ect.
