Has anyone who applied ED 1 heard back yet? I heard that in the past some people got a phone call or an email around the 8th to the 10th, so has there been anyone who’s gotten in already? Good luck to everyone by the way!

not yet but i’m hoping i hear back soon

I think that we will find out this Thursday-Saturday…I dont know how i will be able to function this week…SO NERVOUS

I applied ED too! And I’m assuming you all know that AU REALLY values the interest of there applicants, I think they accept around 75-80% of those who apply ED so good luck to everyone! Quick question though: does anyone know if we can reject AU as an ED applicant if our potential financial aid package is not sufficient?

ple2012…I have heard that it is common ED policy with most schools to opt out of ED for financial reasons…i dont know the process and all but I think it is ok

I applied ED also and the wait is driving me crazy. Trimester exams next week and I’m completely distracted.

When you sign the ED agreement, you agree to attend, if accepted, unless the financial aid is makes it impossible. But realize that AU will not reconsider your FA if you are ED. Meaning, you can’t ask them for more (unless there has been a big change in your circumstances that you can document). So…you can decline ED if the FA is unacceptable. If that is the case, make sure you have backup applications submitted already.

Good luck to all of you!

Does anyone know what time of day specifically we get notified? Or does it vary? Because I really, really, really want to be around for the call. SO. NERVOUS.

Hey guys,
I applied the Nov 15 ED deadline as well. My regional advisor/representative for AU that I have met several times told me that he personally calls the applicants that got in
sometime before December 31st, typically before Christmas vacation. I live in MA.
As far as I know, no one has heard back yet, but I feel like a lot of people will be hearing back this Friday/Saturday. Seeing as next weekend (a little less than two weeks from today) is the start of Christmas vacation for my school and assuming off of that that it is for other schools, this weekend is probably the big weekend for everyone. Good luck!

judging by last years thread …a bunch of people heard back on the thursday and friday…i really do not know if I can stomach getting a letter though…I am hoping for the phone call!

It seemed like phone calls have been going out on the evening of the 15th these past two years…think they’ll push it forward because the 15th is a Saturday?

Has anyone heard that notifications will be later this year because of Sandy? My D seems to think that she read that the date this year was the 20th but she doesn’t recall where she read that.

did anyone else hear when decisions will be released…usually they are released the weekend of the 15th some get calls on thursday and friday nights…has anyone gotten a call?

I talked to AU admissions today. If you call, they will tell you if your application has been reviewed. Letters go out in a week or so. And from what they said, there will be no phone calls or emails.

ive heard next week to…which is wierd because decisions are usually released aroudn the weekend of the 15th

Anyone hear anything? Or are they delayed till next week for sure?

Oh man. I’m really freaking out. I really just want to know if I got accepted or not.

Same here…well at least we’re all in this together. The same thing happened to my friend who applied ED to Lehigh. I don’t really get it.

Next week will definitely be an emotional and mental roller coaster .
