ED or not?

i know ive posted on other threads about this but i decided to make my own so i wouldnt take over someone elses…

i am so torn as to whether i should switch to ED 2…i know that bucknell is my top choice but my parents (as well as myself…a little) want me to keep my options open in case something comes up or something changes…so the pros of applying ED would be a better chance of acceptance…and cons would be that i would be locked in. here are my stats (do you think i would have a good chance of acceptance regular or i should just play it safe and suck it up and do ED 2?):

ACT: 34
GPA: 3.93 uw
classes: most demanding available
rank: not ranked, but top decile
awards: harvard book award, sister something award for religious studies and being a social example, many national science league medals and certificates
EC: sports every season, captain xc and track sr. year, president com.serv. club since soph year, lots of volunteer
recs: very good i would think (i didnt read them but i was the teachers best student)
guidance rec: excellent
essay: good, creative

i could give a geographical distribution of accepted/enrolled students too if you post which state you’re from. and if you know what you want to major in, i could give you a major specific breakdown. Anyway, these are all just numbers and statistics and you definitely have a superior GPA and ACT score, as well as very good extracurricular stuff. No one can say for sure of course whether you’ll get in or not = that’s the admission people’s job. Do what seems best to you in the end. Hope the posts help.

satn, I don’t like your on-screen name  but I really appreciate the good info you’re sharing here. It really lends insight to both BU and its enrollees as well as removing some of the hype of it all. Thanks.

No problem. I’m glad to be of some help.

And as for my screen name, those are just my initials, a rather peculiar coincidence as to what they spell, but then again, what can i do!

^ lol wow. that’s pretty odd/coincidental haha.

yes very useful information. thank you for taking the time to do this! =)
