<p>Byerly, keep in mind that many people on CC lie -- whether it is what high school they attended, what college they got in, etc -- though I'm not necessarily claiming that this is true of Ulysses' "Deerfield" claim.</p>
<p>Ulysses: The three authors of The Early Admission Game are 1) a Harvard Professor in Public Policy, 2) a former Dean of Admissions at Wesleyan and 3) a Professor from the Kennedy School at Harvard. I think these guys could make a quick buck easier than doing regression analysis of applicants at highly selective colleges. I am sorry I am not buying the intellectual whoring you imply are their motives. Simply put, sometimes data comes back and changes your paradigm. Deal with it.</p>
