ED or RD?

<p>I can't decide whether or not to apply ED or RD. Yeah.</p>

<p>Some Stats (I'll be brief)</p>

<p>SAT1 1500 780 M 720 Verbal New SAT (so far on practice tests, 800 CR, 800 M, 770 W), so around 2300ish
IIC 790 Physics 770 US 770 Bio 770 Writing 770
AP's All 5's in English Lang, Biology, Physics C Mechanics, BC, US History, Euro History, Statistics (hardest course load)</p>

<p>GPA 4.0 UW 4.7ish W (Top 5%, no ranking but I should be valedictorian?)
from one of the top public schools in California
EC's
Varsity Wrestling, Varsity Track/Field
Science Research with Caltech PhD
co-founder, VP of Church inner-city youth program
Secretary Science Club
co-founder, VP, Secretary of Music Club
Communications, Publicity Chairs of Key Club
Cumulative total of 400 Volunteering Hours</p>

<p>Various awards in sports, math, stuff, etc...
Essays good, Teacher Recs will be good</p>

<p>Well, I have to pay for college basically because my parents are poor. I'm from a middle-class family which is not doing to well.</p>

<p>If you go ED, I wager money that you'd be accepted. And you also have a good chance at RD, too. But if money is a major problem don't apply ED.</p>

<p>Apply for financial aid. That'll solve most of your money problem (if your parents are poor, up to $40000 of the problem). Though "middle class" != "poor" in most people's books.</p>

<p>apply ed if columbia is your first choice obviously, but a lot of high stat people were defered, you may want to check out previous posts, otherwise i think your chances are good</p>
