I was accepted ED to Lafayette College, but my grades have dropped...it's really not from senioritis, it's most that the classes I have this year are just really hard. This is what my midyear report is going to look like, approximately

Ecology: 96
AP Spanish: 90
AP Lit&Comp: 91
AP US History: 83
AP Calculus AB: 88
AP Bio: 77 :(
Statistics H: 89 or 90, I'm borderline
Gym: 98 (if that matters)

So I'm really worried I might get rescinded, especially because before this year I got all A's (90+), with the exception of an 84 in Physics H junior year. I took 4 AP's last year and did okay, but I have unfortunately learned the hard way this year that 5 is too much...

Should I try to drop bio, I'm thinking it might be in my best interest since this year has just been just awful for me? How should I go about asking Lafayette if I can drop?

What should I do?....

Thank you for your input, it's much appreciated

yeah but should I call them at all? or should i just keep going with bio with a crummy grade…because obviously this talk I have with Lafayette and my guidance counselor would be awfully awkward…I would have to talk to him tomorrow, since the next semester starts monday (I would have spoken to him today but we have a snow day)

Once you are accepted - generally all the college will need is your final transcript - showing your final grades for senior year and that you did graduate. They don’t generally request mid-year grades. Why not confirm if this is the case with Lafayette first. Then, if I am correct and they only need your final transcript in July - you have the entire 2nd semester to pull things back up. I think as long as you have B’s you are fine. I would check with Lafayette before dropping a class - get their ok in writing.

That is an awful lot of APs to be taking at once, and Lafayette might be proud to get you. I would stay the course unless you think you might fall apart completely.
