ED Question (not a chances thread)

For those of you who are current (or former students), do any of you remember when and how we hear our admission decision? Most schools I hear send you a user name and password which you can use to view your decision online but I don't know how it works at Vandy. If so, what time in the day can we expect to hear? If it is by mail, are the decisions mailed on 12/15 or do we receive them by then? Thanks alot.

for vandy you will receive a letter in the mail telling you. you can't find out online. don't worry if you see a thin envelope either - their acceptance letters are thin.

My younger Vanderbilt student was an ED admit two years ago. Unless the procedure has changed, the letters will be mailed on Dec. 15th, which means you should hear early the week of Dec. 18th. The letter is in a legal size envelope and nothing about it indicates whether it is an acceptance, a deferral, or a rejection. If it is an acceptance, you will receive all the other relevant information in a priority mail packet when the RD decisions go out (housing, meal plan, etc.); all you get now is information on how to pay your matriculation fee by year end to secure your place in the class. If you applied for financial aid, you will get a separate packet (5" x 7") informing you of your financial aid offer. If your parents get the mail prior to you, they can basically figure out you are admitted without opening your mail if you get this packet as well. Good luck to all the ED applicants - I know it is a nervewracking time!

Thanks guys. A little disappointing that I have to wait a few more days but I guess pressure with the countdown and all.

Sorry wrong thread

Wait never mind haha right thread
