ED Question

If you apply ED, and get into GSP, can you still apply to other schools? Can you wait until May 1st to give an answer to NYU because GSP was not the original choice?

I believe another post answers this question...but yes you can apply to other colleges if you don't get into the school you originally applied for. However, I'm not sure if you can wait until May 1st to give an answer to NYU...my guess, probably not. Since it's ED, I would assume you would be required to answer when all ED admitted students answer...at least that's the most logical answer.

No. You have to make your decision within two or three weeks whether or not to accept GSP. At that time, you must withdraw all other apps you may have sent in to other schools.

This is from the NYU website...
However, it is important to note that while Early Decision candidates who are referred to the General Studies Program have a choice as to whether or not he or she will ultimately attend NYU, the students must be aware that if they accept our offer of admission (during Early Decision) that we will consider that to be a binding agreement and students will then have to begin withdrawing all other applications from other universities.
