ED Single Degree Fallback Option

<p>D is thinking of applying to UPenn ED. If she applies for Digital Media Design ED, but wants her fallback option to be RD for CAS, how does she indicate it on the application form? Or is this option not available?</p>

<p>The application form states:
"If we are unable to admit you as an Early Decision candidate to the specialized program, and you would like to be considered as an Early Decision candidate to the single-degree option you've indicated, please sign below"</p>

<p>but does not talk about what to do "if you would like to be considered as a Regular Decision (i.e. non-binding) candidate"</p>

<p>My D may be in the same situation. If I read it correctly, further up in the application in the DMD section, it asks for a second choice e.g. SEAS or CAS and possible major (using a code). Fill that out, but later on, don’t sign on the signature line if you don’t want the second choice also to be ED. I am NOT from admissions, however, so I recommend you double check with them.</p>

<p>In other words, I think this is possible to do, but double check with people who really know!</p>
