Hey,
Can all of you who applied ED please post your stats?
Thanks :)

Hi. My stats are average, so I cannot believe that I got in. I keep waiting for something to say that the acceptance was wrong... but anyway.

SAT I- math: 770, CR: 710, writing: 670
SAT II - math II: 800, Chem: 710, Bio: 700

I currently live in Toronto and my school does not rank students.
I believe that I am in top 10%, possibly 5%, but not sure.
Grade 11 average was 91.1
This term's average is 89.3

My volunteer hour is about 100.
I have average extracurriculars, no leadership positions except the president title of club that my friends and I created.
Every club I joined is academic, except Girl's Basketball in grade 11.

The only award I got outside the school is Ontario semifinalist title I got from Programming Competition. Some awards that I got in school include math award in grade 10 and the second place in writing contest.

I think my recommendation letters and my essay for common app were strong, but why Wellesley essay was somewhat mediocre, but it was okay.

Wish this helps. Best of luck to you^^

Thanks! And your stats are not average! Did you apply for financial aid?

thx. yeah I did. The result of that haven't come out yet.
They said the mail will be arriving sometime this week.
I am kinda scared cause if don't get enough, I cannot go.
Just hopingthat their calculated need for me matches my real need.

my activities weren't way extraordinary either, so I was so happy that I got in!

GPA - Weighted: 4.30
Class Rank: top 10%

Scores:
SAT I Math: 730
SAT I Critical Reading: 750
SAT I Writing: 770
ACT: 31
SAT II U.S. History: 750
SAT II Math Level 2 (IIC): 800

Extracurriculars: National History Day State finalist (ND), Debate 4 yrs, a Zoo volunteer, worked on Obama's campaign as a grassroots organizer, and some academic clubs.

One of my rec letters was mediocre (rushed) and the other was strong. I played it safe with my why wellesley essay; however, I believe my common app essays were much better.

I'm hoping as well that I get a good finaid offer, otherwise, I can't go. eek!

Hi! My stats weren't very impressive at all, so I was definitely surprised that I got accepted!

GPA: 3.7
SAT I - Math: 780, Reading: 680, Writing: 710
SAT II - Math I: 670, Literature: 750

Extracurriculars/Activities: Asian Culture Club (founder and president), Japanese taiko club (leader), newspaper (editor), fencing team, pit orchestra, pep band, district and all-state orchestras and bands, pageants, music competitions, etc.

My recommendation letters and essays were quite strong, so I believe those along with my extracurriculars balanced out my somewhat mediocre grades and scores.
