ED Switch Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP!!! So I applied ED1 to my top choice A and got deferred. I love A and imagine myself there and was DEVASTATED to get deferred.

My second choice is B. I really like it but I would chose A over B if I had the choice. I submitted my app to B in mid-December for regular decision, but after hearing that I got deferred from A, I decided to switch to ED2 for B. I guess I just lost confidence in myself and was desperate.

But now I really regret switching to ED2 and want to get out of it just to see if I have a chance at A. I was wondering if I can switch back to regular decision at B. ED2 decisions don’t come out for another month, so it’s unlikely that they’ve even made a decision on me. Plus, I’m not backing out of the ED agreement after getting in.

My question is: CAN I LEGALLY SWITCH BACK TO REGULAR WITHOUT B BLACKMAILING ME, AND WOULD SWITCHING TO REGULAR HURT MY CHANCE OF GETTING INTO B DURING THE REGULARROUND? IF I CAN SWITCH TO REGULAR, HOW CAN I GO ABOUT DOING THIS?

Thank you so much! I appreciate any advice! I have worked so hard in high school (just like many other students), and I feel like I am ruining my chance of getting into college.

yes, you can switch. Email admissions. BTW- ED is not a legally binding contract (there is nothing illegal about backing out of an ED arrangement- its just against policy and can have other very negative repercussions).

Thank you so much guineagirl96…Do you think they would count the fact that I switched from ED2 to regular against me when they evaluate me in the regular round?

Oops forget to tag you. Thanks @guineagirl96‌

No, Im sure they won’t.
