ED to Dartmouth

I am applying early decision to Dartmouth from a good high school in the NYC area.

I have a 93.4 gpa but it is unweighted and have taken an extremely rigorous class schedule during high school including AP Physics B, AP American History, BC Calc, AP English, AP European History, AP Physics C and 4 years of honors math and Chinese.

I have also had a large role in yearbook and have been a section editor for the past two years, am a participant in the Columbia Science Honors Program and have done extensive science research in a genetics lab as well as having a steady tutoring job and doing community service in my neighborhood.

I have a 34 on my ACTS with a 35 in science, 34 in math, 34 in reading and 34 in writing. 760 on US History SAT2, 800 on Math 2 SAT2 and 7 30 on Bio SAT2.

I am also the child of an active Dartmouth alum.

What are my chances?

Really good especially because one of your parents is a Dartmouth alum. The only thing I could possibly suggest is listing your AP scores which gives a good idea of how well you would do in actual college courses.

Please help me out

From the stats you’ve given, you stand a very good chance. Your scores are great (I agree with the above poster - list your AP scores) and your GPA is awesome. Emphasize what’s most important to you about your ECs and I would not be surprised if you got accepted. Best of luck!

Chance me back please - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1225284-chane-me-i-chance-back-ea-uchicago-ivies.html

Thanks a lot! I only took two AP’s my junior year but got a 5 on US History and a 5 on Physics B.

Decent chance for Dartmouth. Good luck.
