Oh that would drive me even more crazy lol. I keep seeing people post their acceptances on fb and it just keeps reminding me.
I’m hoping they send emails today so we don’t have to spend all weekend worrying.
Apparently they are finalizing decisions today so idk if they are able to send them out yet, but it would be nice to not have this hanging over our heads during the weekend
Would it still be at 7 if it was today?
I’m assuming, that’s the time for Monday so if it was today I would assume they would keep the same time, but I guess you never know
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I hope this delay isn’t because of a record number of applicants
I guess not today
most likely Monday then
Scale of one to ten how good are you feeling?
I think there’s a delay just because usually they send the emails out on December 12th, which in recent years has been during this week. But this year December 12th falls on a Saturday and I’m pretty sure colleges do not often send out decisions on weekends, so the next logical date to hear would be Monday the 14th.
I really hope they send out decisions Saturday although I’m pretty sure it’s going to be monday at 7 pm like people have been saying. Good Luck to everyone!
I really doubt it’ll be on Saturday. They’d probably email us in advance letting us know the date changed again. This is what the official email said (sent to one of my counselors):
“We are excited to have such a strong applicant pool and will be in committee for the remainder of the week doing the hard work of making these decisions. We plan to notify students of their admission decisions by email at 7 p.m. (EST) on Monday, December 14th.”
Fun fact: 337 applications in the ED pool this year!
Ah great. More time for me to stress out and worry.
337 applicants, Is that usually around how many they get?
They said it was a 4% increase from last year, so yeah.
Does anyone have the ED stats from the past? Can’t find it anywhere.
@tigerustin I found something on collegedata.com that said out of 289 applicants last year, 49% were admitted. I’m not sure how accurate or not that is, though.
My college counselor also said Haverford admits around 50% of ED applicants.
If 337 applied ED this year and they admit about half, that’d be about half of the class. Would they admit that many ED?
