ED to Penn

So who is definitely apply early to Penn?
If you are, to what school or program?
I'm applying early to Huntsman. List your stats if you want.

i'm definitely applying early to SAS...and am working on the essay right now >.<

I'm probably gonna apply early to Huntsman as well. It depends on my college visits in fall though.

My stats are online but I'm gonna retake my SAT.

My t/l would be French..and yours? Have you visited UPenn/the program?

im most likely applying ED to Wharton =D

chances of getting in? like .00000000000002%. but i'll try anyway =)

Right now I'll plan to do ED on Wharton/Huntsman. Yes, my chances are also virtually zero.

Haha, I remember being in your positions a year ago. All summer I was set on applying ED to Columbia, until the very end. Some of you may decide against Penn... But for those of you who don't, have faith! Some of you will indeed get in -- CC has a relatively high percentage of kids who are accepted, as you all can probably see from the 06 ED results. Good luck, all! =)

Ok, here are my stats:

SAT I: n/a
ACT: Composite-34, English-34, Math-35, Reading-34, Science-31, Writing-33

AP: haven't gotten my scores yet. took lit & comp and bio in school this year, and self-studied macro and micro economics

SAT IIs
Biology M (bad, do you think I should retake?): 710
Math 2: 770
Chinese (I'm a native speaker): 800

Essays: really strong. funny, unique. having a Harvard grad/attorney and UPenn student help me with them!

GPA: 4.0
class rank: 3 out of 367

ECs:
Newspaper 10 - 12, Editor-in-Chief
Literary Magazine 10 - 12, Editor-in-Chief
Math Team 10 - 12, Captain
Indoor Track 9 - 12, Captain
Outdoor Track 9 - 12, Captain, All-Division
French Newsletter 11 - 12, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Cross Country 9 -11

Summer Programs:
Harvard Crimson (newspaper)
Brown University
Bryant University (leadership and business program)

Work Experience:
Olympia Sports, sales associate, Nov. 2006 to Aug. 2008

I attend a public high school that rarely send kids to Ivy Leagues, but I'm taking one of the most rigorous schedule in our school history. (5 APs next year, and one self-study)

are u kidding me? don't retake the 710 Bio. A 710 is not a bad score. FYI, I got into wharton this year with a 610 US history.

If you only took the bio sat once and scored a 710 and are positive you'll score higher, it doesn't hurt to retake it. The score is fine, but we're all overachievers at heart. Good luck!

I stand strong with friedrice as an applicant who has essentially zero chance of getting. Im applying early to the college and praying for miracles.

friedrice and jazzhands2008, why dont u think u'll get in? would u mind sharing ur stats?

I know I have no chance because you have much better stats than me.

I will be an upcoming junior. Here are some of my stats:

Ivy Hopeful--I think you'll be fine at Penn, esp. w/ ED.

i'm applying penn ed too. is anyone using the commonapp, or the official university application?

I'm using the Common App. Friedrice, you have awesome stats, what were you talking about? You def. have a good chance.

Thanks loslobos71, but do you think I could get into Huntsman (which only takes about 40 a year)?

I really dont know that much about admission to Penn's programs, so no help here. sorry.
