Ed to syracuse

SO, i was accepted to Syracuse on Early Decision, however, i have not heard back from financial aid yet.. and the deadline is soon approaching for me to commit or decline my acceptance. I do not find out from other schools i applied to on Regular Decision until April First. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I SHOULD DO!!!! If i commit to Syracuse, and somehow in the future try and figure of my financial problems, will i still see if i got into the other schools i applied to on regular decision? Or, will the other colleges see that i committed to syracuse and not accept me? can other colleges see that? do colleges talk? what do i do!?!?!

Um if u applied ED Don’t you have to go.

if you cant afford it then no

“I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I SHOULD DO!!!”

Call the Syracuse FA office.

Did you get an estimate with your ED acceptance? If not, you can wait for it before you decide to accept or decline their offer. But call them.

I thought you didn’t have to give colleges an answer until May 1st. I would wait as long as you can to see what other schools offer you.

thats when you have to respond to schools when you applied to them regular decision… but i applied early decision… do you think the other colleges im waiting to hear from will know i was accepted to Syracuse early decision?

d accepted ED but not to first choice, received FA information back in Dec but has till May 1 to accept or decline because not accepted to first choice.

Most schools allow about four weeks for you to decide if their ED FA offer is enough; you then either say no thanks or send in the deposit.

Did you get an estimate with your ED acceptance?

no i didnt get an estimate with my ED acceptance letter

You can’t make a decision without it, so call them. Until you accept their ED offer, other schools won’t know anything about it.

Check on your MySlice account online. That’s where we first saw our package.

Our son’s financial aid package was listed on the MySlice account back in December, about a week after his acceptance. Then a few days later the paperwork arrived in the mail. If your package isn’t listed on MySlice (under the financial aid section on the right) it is surprising at this late date, so call the FA office.

They have always been extremely helpful when I called about questions, so I’m sure they’ll be happy to talk to you.

And double-check that you checked the “Applying for financial aid” box!

hey everyone, any families attending the 4/18 “open house” we are from California and would love to meet. My D was accepted back in December and it’s a go. look forward to meeting you. we will be the ones with the SF Giants gear!

I want to apply to Whitman School of Management. Secondary, Undeclared.
What are my chances for ED? Responses are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

^^declare your second choice school; your SAT and ACT is prob too low for Whitman at this point…

how much do you thing I need to raise my SATs for Whitman?

as a guess, purely a guess, cr/m: 150 points…ACT a 27…for Whitman…but that’s an educated guess, not calculated…

and assuming ED…RD would have to be higher…

what if my second choice was the college of arts and sciences?

^^ I still think that a 24 ACT is a little low…the kids I know admitted ED to arts and sci all had around a 26-28 range…
