so…the ED deadline is on nov.1… im taking the ACT on oct. 24… from what i have been told, I understand that i can still send in my ACT after the deadline for VANDERBILT, but does that apply to other colleges?
ex:
oct.24th - act test took
nov. 1 deadline. (sent EVERYTHING with old ACT score)
nov. 1 + ? (immediately send new ACT score to vanderbilt/stanford/whatever college)

You need to check EACH school’s web site to see what the cutoff dates are for your scores. Generally that ACT date should be fine but there may be some outliers.
You should alter your strategy about obtaining critical information – “what I’ve been told” and CC postings about absolutely essential factors in your apps is rather foolhardy. You should create a quick reference sheet w/the deadlines and requirements of all your target schools – with info gained from the schools’ own websites.
