ED to WashU chance me!!!!

I am a senior in highschool at one of the top 20 all-girls schools in the US from Philly, and I am I am wondering what my chances are for applying ED to Wash U. What do you think my chances of getting in are (at this point)? Here are my scores, classes, extra-curriculars, etc.:

GPA: 4.3 (out of possible 4.6 weighted) / 4.1 unweighted

ACT: 32 (I took the ACT twice, and I am waiting for my October scores and am hoping for a 33)

Classes: I would have taken 8 honors classes and 4 APS by the time I graduate. (Honors geometry, honors Algebra 2, honors PreCalc, honors Spanish 3, honors Spanish 4, honors chemistry, honors physics, honors government & AP biology, AP Calc, and AP Computer Science and AP Spanish) I also took the required English and History courses but not always at the honors level.

Extra-curriculars: Volunteer as a tutor for lower-income children twice a week, Russian language lessons to learn how to read and write in Russian, Global citizenship program, started my own small business, business and finance program, volunteer for a local cancer organization, intensive leadership academy, business summer internship, cashier at target, silver key club (ambassador for my school), started my own club at school called, babysit, NFTY (Jewish Youth Organization), Volleyball, Pre-college summer program, service trip to Nepal.

I will not be applying for financial aid

I am applying to the Olin Business school

It would be great if you had any tips!!

Thanks!

You are a strong applicant! However, your ACT is on the low end for Wash U. Hopefully you do go up.

Many of my friends were surprised when WashU decisions came out. The same people who had near perfect stats and got into Ivies with lower acceptance rates were rejected or wait-listed by Wash U. I think it varies so much! Applying ED will probably help you. Good luck!

Thanks for your help! I want to apply ED2 to Emory if I don’t get into WashU, can you chance me on that? Side note: I did a pre-college program at Emory over the summer and got a teacher evaluation for an Emory staff member and Emory told us that helps, but I’m still worried because ED2 at Emory is competitive. @pineapple86

I think it is harder to get in to WashU than Emory, but both are pretty competitive. With your rec and your stats/ECs, I think you should have a strong chance at Emory ED2. Good luck!
