ED vs. Questbridge

If I'm thinking of applying to schools like Yale, Columbia and UPenn, applying through which method would provide a higher chance of being accepting to these top colleges? I know that the QB partner schools only have a limited number of QB scholarship they can give out; considering that, would it be more advantageous to apply to one of these schools ED or through QB?

QB applicants that may not be accepted through the QB scholarship program at their first choice schools are nonetheless highly valued applicants in the RD round of participating schools. Yale, Columbia and UPenn know that even if a QB applicant isn’t matched with them in the initial round, that QB applicants are exactly the type of students they want to woo and court heavily for the RD round. This doesn’t guarantee RD admission but they are very happy with QB participants.

I recommend QB because that will automatically put you on the radar screens of many colleges – and that’s good thing!

Apply through QB, because if you get a match, there will be no financial aid issues. If you aren’t matched, then apply RD so that you can compare financial aid offers.
